Juventus have reportedly agreed to sign Emre Can on a free transfer this summer and it doesn’t look like the Liverpool fans are going to miss him.
Can moved to Anfield in 2014, after former Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers activated the German’s £9.75 million release clause.
And while it took the ex-Bayer Levekusen midfielder time to adjust to Premier League football, with Rodgers playing him out of position in a back three, Can eventually demonstrated his talents when Jurgen Klopp took charge.
However, despite playing 40 games for the club last season and having already featured in 25 matches this term, the Liverpool supporters are ready to accept his exit to Serie A.
Whether Can’s departure has been eased by RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita having already agreed to join the Reds this summer is unclear.
It’s undeniable that the mood toward Can has changed since he refused to sign a new deal last year though, despite the 23-year-old appearing as a fan-favourite earlier in his career:

Emre ‘I just leave everything to my agent’ Can
He’s obviously content because his mega bucks deal was already sorted. I found his quote above quite disloyal to be honest. That’s modern day football etc but I thought his attitude was poor. https://t.co/TqtAHttNwh

Thoughts on Emre Can:
-very inconsistant for a player who turns 24 in a few days.
-still our best number 6.
-Annoying to spend money and time to develope a player and lose on a free.
-easily upgradeable, but would prefer him to stay.

Odd move for me, all things considered, but it's a slower League for him, will suit him! I'd end his season now tho, let him rot in World Cup season, I support LFC not Emre Can, he's replaceable in this window. https://t.co/uZ1tiWtWwk

Emre Can’s peaks do not compensate for his much more regular valleys.

A quick thought on Emre Can: He’s a fucking dope and while very talented he goes missing way too often and plays too many games with his head in his arse. It sucks that we don’t get a penny for him but he can fuck right off and I won’t be shedding a tear.

I like Emre can think he’s a good player who could be so much better but I think lacks that consistency shame to see him go not end of world

Are the Liverpool fans really ready to watch one of their most active midfielders walk away from the club after showing bags of potential?
Or are the supporters simply bitter that the player ran down his contract before sealing a move elsewhere?
Liverpool are in action this evening as they take on local rivals Everton in the FA Cup.
