Liverpool Fans Want Their Club to Hijack Man City’s Move for Riyad Mahrez

Manchester City have made their move for Riyad Mahrez tonight – and Liverpool‘s supporters are desperately hoping that Jurgen Klopp and the Anfield hierarchy get involved in the bidding.

The Algerian international has been known to want out of Leicester City for some time now, and according to the BBC, the tricky winger has handed in an official transfer request after learning of interest from Pep Guardiola.

City are keen to bolster their options in wide areas following the injury to Leroy Sane at the weekend and their failure to sign Alexis Sanchez from Arsenal, and given he can play in the Champions League this season, Mahrez would make perfect sense.

But having been linked strongly with Liverpool earlier this month, there’s quite a lot of Kopites who’d be pretty angry to see the player end up at the Etihad:

What do you think of the situation? Would Mahrez be better suited at Liverpool, or Man City?
