Michael Carrick Sends Classy Message to David Silva About Health of His Baby

Michael Carrick sent a classy message to David Silva after he confirmed the premature birth of his baby boy.

The Manchester City playmaker had been out of action during part of the festive period for an unknown reason which he today explained was down to the premature birth of his son.

In a tweet posted this afternoon, Silva thanked everyone at Manchester City for supporting him of late and went on to write that his newborn son was born preterm and is now fighting for his life day by day:

The football community has united to show its support for Silva at what must be a very difficult time for his family.

And Manchester United captain has added his backing to that, taking to Twitter to send a very classy message to the Spaniard:

And Carrick is spot on to say that, as too often football is given far more importance than it deserves. Silva’s situation just shows that there are far more to worry about in life.
