Livepool Fans Aren’t Buying Antoine Griezmann Rumours as Bookies Make Them Favourites

Liverpool fans aren’t spending a second believing the speculation that they could sign Antonie Griezmann this month, despite a bookmaker making them the favourites to land the Frenchman.

With the Reds picking up £142 million from selling Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona, there are expectations that Jurgen Klopp will look to sign a replacement during this window.

However, while Thomas Lemar and Riyad Mahrez have both been linked, Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to immediately shoot down a talk of signing Griezmann.

The 26-year-old was expected to leave Atletico Madrid for Manchester Unitedlast summer, however, Atleti’s transfer ban persuaded him to not only stay at the Vicente Caulderon, but sign a contract extension.

And with Atletico boss Diego Simeone admitting that the player could leave for the right price at the end of last year, Sky Bet have slashed Liverpool’s odds on signing Griezmann.

Not that anyone thinks it will actually happen:

But just imagine Liverpool did… Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino, Sadio Mane and Griezmann?!
