Norwich City Fans Seem Genuinely Sad to See Russell Martin Leave For Rangers

Russell Martin is set to join Rangers on-loan until the end of the season from Norwich City but fans of the English Championship club seem pretty sad to see the Scotland defender leave.

The defender, 32, has been at Carrow Road since the summer of 2009 and has racked up 278 league appearances for the Canaries since his arrival and has worn the captain’s armband on 149 occasions.

But it appears current Norwich boss Daniel Farke is trying to implement a younger and fresher look in his defensive backline, meaning there’s no room for Scotland international Martin.

As we told you earlier today, Martin has arrived in Glasgow and will probably be announced as an official Rangers player some time this evening, and whilst he wasn’t the greatest player in the history of their club, there’s a lot of love for the veteran from Norwich fans on social media:

Do you think Martin will be a good signing for Rangers?
