Rangers Fan Groups Club 1872 and the Union Bears Launch Safe-Standing Survey

Two Rangers fan groups are looking to move on to the “next phase” of a safe-standing initiative at Ibrox, by getting supporters to sign a season ticket survey.

The Union Bears and Club 1872 are hoping to gain enough signatures and interest from Rangers fans that they can then pass the information onto the club, in a bid to introduce a standing section within the stadium.

Old Firm rivals Celtic already have a safe-standing section at Celtic Park, which holds up to 3,000 supporters on match-days.

And while the Hoops had to enter discussions with the local council to get their safe-standing section approved, it looks like the Rangers fans want to follow suit.

A statement published on club1872.co.uk details that the group, along with the Union Bears, are looking at “gauging the demand from supporters” before they enter into a dialogue with the club.

So, Gers fans, would you be interested in standing to watch your team play?

If so, you can enter your details for the survey, here.
