Morgan is expected to complete his transfer to the Hoops tomorrow afternoon, before being sent back on loan to St Mirren for the remainder of this season.
And with the 21-year-old leading the Buddies promotion charge with 13 goals in 26 appearances, Jack has backed Morgan to excel when he does eventually leave the Paisley 2021 Stadium.
Speaking with STV, the former Alloa boss revealed that the nature of Scottish football means Morgan will have his doubters but he still expects the youngster to rise to the challenge.
Jack said, “I’ve worked with him day in, day out over the last 15 months and I firmly believe he has enough attributes, with his natural talent, how hard he works at his game and his temperament, to deal with the challenges that lie ahead”
“There will be a lot of people that question that, that’s simply the nature of football in Scotland, but I absolutely believe he is good enough to meet that challenge.”
He added, “Time will tell of course in that respect, but I am hopeful he will go on and progress his career to the very highest level.”
“I think he trusts he is making the right move as well and we will feel the benefit of that.”
What do you make of the signing of Morgan, Celtic fans?
Are you enthusiastic about the winger’s development under Brendan Rodgers?
Or will he follow in the foot-steps of Scott Allan, in finding it difficult to make a charge for a first-team place?
