The North London club travelled to Wales knowing a win was absolutely vital in terms of keeping in touch with the Premier League’s top-four and all seemed to be going well when Mesut Ozil’s beautiful assist set-up Nacho Monreal for the opening goal after half-an-hour.
However, Sam Clucas equalised for the Swans before the half-time break, and the relegation-threatened side were ahead just after the hour mark, when Cech somehow managed to do this:
Petr cech wtf was that??? pic.twitter.com/xMGUV10iQC

We’ve told you previously about Arsenal supporters giving Cech stick this season, and basically building on the theory that he’s no longer the commanding goalie he once was at Chelsea.
Well, there’s been a similar school of thought on social media tonight, following his latest howler:
Give Macey a chance or try Mertesacker in goal, I just don’t care anymore, it can’t be any worse than Cech or Ospina.

I remember when Arsenal bought Cech he was supposed to save them at least 9 points a season instead he literally gives away 9 points a season

Any other manager would have put sentimentality aside and got rid of Cech. He was finished two years ago.

Arsenal fans and pundits when Petr Cech joined Arsenal: "A goalkeeper like Cech can get you 10 points per season."
Did they mean it for the opposing teams?

Cech was past his best when Chelsea sold him to us. Is yet to save a penalty for us and will soon need a can of WD-40 he’s that creaky. Yet nearly 3 years later, we persist with him because we have nobody better at the club.

Petr Čech has started playing like it's coming to the end of his five minute stint in goal at 7-a-side and he's just waiting to hand the gloves over to someone else.

Petr Cech might have to wait until 2026 for his 200th clean sheet

Good enough to replace Gianluigi Buffon, not good enough to replace Petr Cech. pic.twitter.com/awIPJRp8oT

I swear to god I want Cech out of my life ASAP. I can't stand this astronaut

Looking for those 15 points a season that Cech was meant save arsenal. pic.twitter.com/cKk4uc78yj

What do you think, is Cech past it? Or is he just cruelly exposed behind Arsenal’s leaky defence?
