Barry Douglas scored another belter for Wolves last night to continue talk of a first Scotland call-up.
The Wolves left-back has been in sensational form for the club since joining from Konyaspor in the summer, but has yet to be rewarded with a Scotland cap.
A big part of that is down to the quality the Scots already have in that position, with Liverpool’s Andy Robertson and Celtic’s Kieran Tierney both brilliant options at the position.
But both can play elsewhere, as can Douglas, so his recent form has led to a lot of talk that he could be a serious option for the next Tartan Army boss.
He had three goals for the English Championship high-flyers going into last night’s game against Brentford and he made it four with a belting strike in a 3-0 win:
If Wolves continue their very impressive push to the Championship title and English Premier League football then the next Scotland boss will have no choice but to shoehorn Douglas into his squad.
