Liverpool‘s big guns lived up to their big billing this afternoon against Manchester City, with Roberto Firmino, Mo Salah and Sadio Mane coming up with three absolutely stunning second-half goals.

After a first-half in which Liverpool dominated, Jurgen Klopp’s men probably felt hard-done-to after going into the break tied at 1-1, following an error by Lorius Karius which allowed Leroy Sane to equalise.

But nobody could’ve predicted what would happen in the second period, with Roberto Firmino setting things in motion in the 59th minute:

It was just two minutes after that when Sadio Mane smashed in Liverpool’s third, his ninth in all competitions this season:

And just seven minutes after that, Salah capitalised brilliantly on a rare error from Ederson to sweep in the fourth from a long way out:

All in all, today was a day where Klopp’s Liverpool showed exactly what they’re capable of when everything goes their way, and as for City, well, at least we know the answer to whether or not they’ll go the entire season unbeaten, eh?
