Jason Cummings scored his first goal for Rangers against Ross County this afternoon – and was immediately mobbed by jubilant Gers supporters.
The former Hibs striker has become an instant hero to the club’s fans after sealing his move from Nottingham Forest last week, and he looked in the mood for a game when he replaced Alfredo Morelos with just over 15 minutes to go.
With the match evenly poised at 1-0 to Rangers, Cummings’ introduction seemed to spark his team-mates into life, and when the first opportunity presented itself, he pounced on it – with a little help from a Harry Souttar deflection:

Despite the strong reaction from the travelling fans, the result means Rangers are only tied in second-place in the Premiership, level on points with Aberdeen.
He’s been at the club all of five minutes, but Cummings already seems to be a cult figure amongst the fans – will this goal be the first of many?
