Video: Pedro Obiang’s Stunner Against Tottenham May Be Goal of the Season

West Ham have taken a surprise 1-0 lead against Tottenham tonight, with Pedro Obiang scoring a sensational goal-of-the-season contender.

David Moyes’ side have been battered and bruised for well over an hour at Wembley, with Spurs doing everything other than breaking the deadlock.

And while it looked a matter of time before Harry Kane or one of his team-mates found a way of putting the ball beyond Adrian and securing three points for the hosts, it was the Hammers who stole the lead.

‘Stole’ may be an inaccurate description though… as Obiang’s long-range stunner would fully deserve to win any game of Premier League football:

While the Hammers looked doomed for a relegation scrap under previous manager Slaven Bilic, Moyes appears to have turned things around at the London Stadium.

West Ham have managed to climb to 16th place in the table and have lost just once in their previous five matches.

Time will tell if they can improve on that record tonight…
