The Florida Cup got underway last night with PSV Eindhoven holding Corinthians to a 1-1 draw, however, the highlight for Rangers fans will be the glowing tribute that the game’s commentator gave the Ibrox club.
Graeme Murty‘s side are currently in the United States to take part in the friendly competition, with the Scottish Premiership in the middle of it’s annual winter break.
And it appears the country’s broadcasters are very excited about seeing Rangers in action.
Rangers take on Atletico Mineiro at midnight tonight, before facing Corinthians on Saturday evening and one commentator had clearly done his research prior to those two match-ups.
The play-caller summarised the club’s return to the Scottish Premiership during last night’s game… albeit that he miscalculated how many years it took Rangers to return to the top-flight.
He was incredibly complimentary though, describing how Rangers performed “like a champ” in achieving promotion and that the league “suffered” during the their absence.
The fans are also mentioned, praised for their unwavering support and their dedication in filling Ibrox every second weekend:

Whether Rangers perform well over the next few days or not, it seems pretty realistic that they will return Stateside after this welcome!
