The Wait for Jamie Murphy Continues Despite Fan’s Photoshop of Him Being Paraded

Rangers fans are growing impatient as they wait for Brighton winger Jamie Murphy to be unveiled as the club’s second January signing, with one even looking to fool the Ibrox faithful with a cheeky photoshop.

Murphy arrived at Glasgow Airport yesterday afternoon ahead of his medical, with the 28-year-old expected to sign a three and a half year deal.

However, it looks like the club are enjoying teasing their supporters on social media as they have yet to confirm the player has signed on the dotted line with an official statement.

Meanwhile, a plucky Gers fan has decided to get the ball rolling with a brilliant photoshopped image of Murphy wearing the light blue jersey in the club’s famous trophy room:

Eagle-eyed fans will quickly notice that the above picture is an edited version of Sean Goss’ unveiling, which Rangers confirmed via Twitter on Wednesday:

Not that everyone was duped:

Meanwhile a handful of Gers fans did fall hook, line and sinker:

Surely the former Motherwell ace will be officially unveiled later this afternoon?
