Aleksandar Mitrović Reveals He Arranged Move to Fulham Via Message on Snapchat

Newcastle striker Aleksandar Mitrović has revealed he managed to seal a loan move to Fulham on transfer deadline day after messaging the club’s manager on Snapchat.

The Serbia international was out in the cold at St. James’s Park under Rafa Benitez, and hadn’t started a single Premier League game this season, despite the Magpies’ lack of striking options.

That meant the £13 million forward was left no option but to look elsewhere and he found a solution in the most unlikely of places.

We’ve all heard of fax machines being used in frantic deadline day negotiations between clubs but Mitrovic seems determined to drag football into the 21st century, as he revealed in an interview the Times.

So, there you have it – in a few years’ time, maybe transfers will be simply conducted by Whatsapp, or maybe even FaceTime.

And why is Slaviša Jokanović on Snapchat anyway? What sort of snaps is he sending out?

What do you think?
