Amy Macdonald has responded to the news that her fiance, St Johnstone defender Richard Foster, is to miss the remainder of the season with injury.
Foster’s hamstring tear was confirmed via St Johnstone’s official website this afternoon, with manager Tommy Wright admitting he’s disappointed to lose the ex-Rangers star for “twelve weeks”.
The 32-year-old veteran, who spent three years at Ibrox, tore his hamstring and had to be substituted during last week’s 0-0 draw at Celtic Park
And it appears Macdonald is devastated at the news that Foster’s season is over, as she logged onto Twitter to summarise that injuries are a result of hard work:
When you give your all and bust a gut for every single ball. Sometimes you put yourself on the line ?

Foster originally joined Rangers on loan from Aberdeen, before making the move permanent in 2013.
After he reached the end of his Gers contract, the versatile full-back joined Ross County for a single season, before signing terms with St Johnstone and making 22 appearances this term.
Macdonald, a self-confessed Rangers fan, announced her engagement to Foster in 2016.
