Brendan Rodgers Was Able to Get “Everything” He Asked for in the January Window

With Celtic completing deadline day deals for Scott Bain and Jack Hendry last night, Brendan Rodgers has praised the club’s board for allowing him to get “everything” he asked for in the January window.

Bain arrives at Celtic Park on loan from Dundee, after his short-stint as Hibernian’s goalkeeper was cut short.

Meanwhile, highly-rated Hendry has signed a permanent deal after he enjoyed a breakthrough season under Neil McCann at Dens Park.

Celtic were also able to complete deals for Chelsea’s Charlie Musonda, St Mirren youngster Lewis Morgan and German defender Marvin Compper in January.

And Rodgers appeared happy with his side’s business during this afternoon’s press conference, as he thanked Dermot Desmond, Peter Lawwell and the rest of the club’s board for their support:

Rodgers was speaking ahead of this weekend’s trip to Rugby Park, where Celtic will take on Steve Clarke’s resurgent Kilmarnock.

Killie have only lost once in their previous five matches, meanwhile Celtic are hoping to pick up their fourth victory on the bounce and tighten their grasp on top spot in the table.

What do you think of Celtic’s January signings, has Rodgers covered all the bases with his newest recruits?
