Celtic Fans Are Raving About Charly Musonda After His Stunning Cameo v Zenit

Celtic fans are lavishing praise on Charly Musonda this evening after the midfielder’s show-stealing cameo against Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Europa League.

Given the 21-year-old was seen as a headline signing during the January transfer window after joining on an 18-month loan deal from Chelsea, many would’ve expected Musonda to be in the starting XI for tonight’s clash, but Brendan Rodgers opted for a more cautious line-up at home.

But after a tense first-half, and a long period where Celtic had struggled to turn their dominance into concrete chances, Musonda was introduced with 20 minutes to go, and in the 78th minute he provided an absolutely dynamite assist for the only goal of the game.

He might still be a young lad in footballing terms, and he might only be in Glasgow on a medium-term basis, but Musonda’s performance in his 20-minute outing has the Hoops support absolutely delirious with joy this evening:

As some are pointing out, Musonda isn’t even fully up to speed since arriving in Glasgow, so we’re willing to bet there’s a lot more to come from him yet.

What did you think of his assist and all round display?
