Hoops supporters have been hearing about moves for the now former Dundee pair for the last two days, but nothing had been announced before the window closed.
Actually nothing was announced until 12.34am – something fans weren’t too happy about.
But as they waited for the transfers to be officially confirmed by the club’s Twitter account, the posts were hilarious.
First, there were those who just outright weren’t happy:
Fuck this I'll check the twitter in the morning. Celtic PR worstcunts ?
— Scott (@Scottg29G) February 1, 2018
Fuck you celtic! Hurry up!!
— Pat McGroin??????? (@KevinGall67) February 1, 2018

— Sean (@SeanSievewright) January 31, 2018

— Jamie Hutton (@Shotts_bhoy) February 1, 2018
Then there were those who could only joke:

— Paul (@P__67) February 1, 2018

— Bhean (@_Bheanian_) February 1, 2018

— CollOfTheWild (@coll_wild) February 1, 2018

— Conor (@ConorM67_) February 1, 2018
Celtic have clearly been temporarily locked out of their Twitter account
— Sam ???? (@SamuelACasey) February 1, 2018
Twitter is meant to be a fast reactive social media platform, what’s the point in Celtic having it when everyone has announced the signings before us ?
— Gary Thomson (@garybhoytommo) February 1, 2018
Someone even changed their name and picture to imitate the Celtic account – and actually made us fall for it for a brief second.
But the funniest ones were certain fans retweeting old signings Celtic had made:
But it’s all okay now – Celtic have confirmed the move, much to the relief of those who want to sleep:
Welcome to the Champions, Bhoys!
