Celtic Fans Reckon Time’s Up For Mikael Lustig at the Club

Celtic romped to a crucial victory over Aberdeen this afternoon – but it wasn’t a day of celebration for right-back Mikael Lustig.

The Swedish defender has been seriously out-of-form of late, culminating in a poor performance in the midweek defeat to Zenit Saint Petersburg in the Europa League.

And he wasn’t much better today at Pittodrie, after he was shown a red card in the second-half for a rather stupid second yellow card tackle on Gary Mackay-Steven.

The 31-year-old has been a hero to the Celtic support in the past, and today was, ironically, his first-ever sending off in a Celtic shirt – but judging by the reaction on social media, it might’ve been the straw which broke the camel’s back:

What do you think of Lustig’s recent performances, and his future at the reaction from supporters online?

At his age, does he still have a realistic future at Parkhead under Brendan Rodgers?
