Craig Levein has had another little dig at Scott Brown after being asked about referee giving more protection to Hearts youngster Harry Cochrane.
The 16-year-old Jambos midfielder limped out of Tuesday night’s game at Celtic Park after picking up a knock in a clash with the Hoops captain.
It’s since been confirmed that Cochrane will miss some action due to a neck injury – leading Levein to criticise Brown in the aftermath of the game.
And he’s followed that up with another comment about the Celtic skipper in his press conference this afternoon ahead of Hearts’ game against St Johnstone on Saturday.
Per PA’s Gavin McCafferty, Levein had a little dig at Brown when asked about referees protecting Cochrane:
Levein asked whether 16-year-old Harry Cochrane should get more protection from refs after Scott Brown challenge: "I think everybody should get a little bit more protection from Scott Brown." #hearts #celtic

Of course, it’s hard to get any context to this quote and determine whether or not Levein was joking or not. But it’ll no doubt annoy Celtic fans and, perhaps, Brown too.
Cochrane was very impressive as Hearts beat the Hoops 4-0 back in December to end their long unbeaten domestic run, but he struggled to make much impact in Tuesday’s 3-1 win for Celtic before being substituted.
