The talented 22-year-old winger is enjoying an impressive run in Steve Bruce’s Aston Villa side at the moment, which was topped by his starring role in yesterday’s 2-0 victory over bitter rivals Birmingham City at Villa Park.
You might remember that when Grealish first broke into the Villa squad as a fresh-faced teenager, he had pledged his future to the Republic of Ireland – the country of his father’s birth.
But in 2016, Grealish decided to switch to being considered English, and whilst he was nowhere near getting on the plane for Euro 2016, this lot are hoping he could be rewarded for his excellent run with a ticket to Russia:
Just watched the full villa Brum game. Wow Jack grealish what a player. On that performance id seriously consider him for England. Unreal first touch, brilliant passer, can go past a man.Or did he pick Ireland coz of parents?Regardless what a talent. Joy to watch #SecondCityDerby

Jack grealish, Jack Wilshere and Henri Lansbury should be England midfield 3 at the World Cup! Would tear Kroos, Khedria and Özil a new one

Great result and performance by avfc today. Jack Grealish ran the game again. Can't think of a better English creator or midfielder. Get him to Russia @England

What do you think of the situation? Could Southgate really pick a player from The Championship?
