Hibs Fans Rejoice as Leeann Dempster Rules Out a Move to the SFA

The Scottish FA have been dealt another blow this afternoon as Hibs chief executive Leeann Dempster has ruled out a move to Hampden… leaving Hibees fans celebrating the news on Twitter.

Dempster had been linked with the job following Stewart Regan’s resignation at the beginning of February, however, she has now clarified that her immediate future lies at Easter Road.

In an interview with BBC Scotland, Dempster revealed that she’s loving life in the capital and has unfinished business at Hibs.

“I’m really enjoying life at Hibs. I love the people that I work with. I really, really enjoy the club.

“It would have to be something pretty enticing and I think at a point in the future that will probably be somewhere else.”

Dempster added, “When I was linked to the post a couple of weeks ago. Colleagues in football had nominated me and my name was there.

“It was nice to be linked with that job and I think it is actually one of the biggest jobs in football, no doubt about it.”

And while the 46-year-old’s comments will surely disappoint Scotland fans, it seems the Hibees supporters are over the moon with the news:

Brilliant news if you are a Hibee… less so if you were hoping for some clarity at the SFA!
