Mikael Lustig Set to Miss Rangers Game After Dundee Match is Postponed

Mikael Lustig is set to miss Celtic‘s game against Rangers after tonight’s match against Dundee is postponed.

The Hoops full-back was sent off in his side’s 2-0 win over Aberdeen at Pittodrie at the weekend.

He was sent packing after a bad tackle on Gary Mackay-Steven earned him a second booking to add to an earlier card for a lunge on the same player.

Lustig was due to sit out tonight’s game against Dundee through suspension, but that’s now been postponed as a result of heavy snow in Glasgow.

So the Swede looks set to miss out on Celtic’s next Scottish Premiership game – which is against Rangers at Ibrox next weekend.

He will be available to play Morton at the weekend because that game is in the Scottish Cup.

But it should be a setback for Brendan Rodgers and his team that Lustig won’t be available for the game against Rangers.

They could still have him if the SPFL rearrange the Dundee game for some point between now and the March 11th clash at Ibrox.

However, that may be unlikely given the short time between now and then.

So, Anthony Ralston or Cristian Gamboa may have to ready themselves to fill in for Lustig.
