Tottenham found themselves 2-1 down after 45 minutes against Juventus in the Champions League, however, it could have been a whole lot worse after a rash tackle from Serge Aurier.
And the Spurs fans aren’t happy.
Gonzalo Higuain scored the opener for the Serie A giants, before doubling his tally minutes later from the penalty spot.
Harry Kane kept the tie alive with a goal for the visitors before half-time, although the prospect of an incredible comeback was nearly ruined by Aurier.
The ex-PSG defender brainlessly brought Douglas Costa down in the area on the stroke of half time, and although Higuain missed the spot-kick, Tottenham fans weren’t pleased with the Ivory Coast international’s performance:
Lads worked so hard for @Serge_aurier to piss it away with his usual brainsnap tackling
When will he learn.

Is Poch forced to bring him off now?

Serge Aurier is an awful right back. I’m continuously hearing people say that he’s better than Trippier, that simply isn’t true……

Seeing why PSG let him go. Can't be trusted in the big games

Serge Aurier has been disappointing since he signed for Tottenham. So rash.

Surely the only way is up for Aurier in the second half?
Or should Pochettino be looking to replace the player, as he struggled to keep the Juventus counter attack under the cosh during the first 45 minutes?
