Video: Arsenal’s Mustafi Slaughtered For ‘Pathetic’ Defending Against Sergio Aguero

Sergio Aguero fired Manchester City in-front in today’s Carabao Cup final – but Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi is being absolutely hammered by defenders for his part in the build-up to the goal.

The two teams clashed at Wembley this afternoon, with the Gunners starting brightly and almost taking the lead through new signing Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang but it wasn’t long before Aguero’s controversial opener.

City goalie Claudio Bravo lumped forward his side’s goal-kick, and rather than simply challenge to clear it, the German World Cup winner appealed for a foul – when Aguero really hadn’t fouled him at all.

When you’re playing against one of the best finishers in world football, you simply can’t take chances like that, and the segment of play has left supporters branding Mustafi as ’embarrassing’:

To be fair, from an ex-Valencia player who has won the World Cup and cost £35 million, you’d probably expect a bit better, eh?

Could this be the final straw for Mustafi in North London?
