Video: Borussia Monchengladbach Troll Sky Sports Reporter Who Couldn’t Say Their Name

Borussia Monchengladbach have taken to Twitter to troll a Sky Sports reporter who struggled to say the club’s name during a live TV segment yesterday.

As part of their traditional deadline-day coverage, Sky Sports sent many of their reporters to Premier League grounds up and down the country, in order to give viewers updates on any transfer business.

Unfortunately for this reporter though, he was stuck outside West Ham’s London Stadium, with the Hammers only adding Preston striker Jordan Hugill to their ranks in the final few hours of the window.

And the lack of in-comings certainly affected his concentration, as he went on to make several errors during his piece to camera, including a hilarious mispronunciation of Borussia Monchengladbach.

The Bundesliga side, who have earned a reputation for their strong social media presence in recent years, were quick to jump on the error and ask that they simply be referred to as a “German team” instead:

Gladbach were of course referencing the Scottish pub that struggled to spell the team’s name as they advertised a Champions League tie against Celtic in 2016.
