Video: David De Gea Pulls Off Extraordinary Save Against Sevilla

Manchester United goalkeeper David de Gea managed to conjure up an absolutely astonishing save against Sevilla this evening in the last-16 of the Champions League.

Jose Mourinho’s side are in Spain for the first-leg of their tie and started the match in a positive manner, with Romelu Lukaku going close in the opening stages.

The first 40 minutes of the match was a composed and controlled display from the Red Devils, but in the last five minutes of the first-half, everything seemed to tilt towards Sevilla’s favour.

The La Liga cracks could smell blood in the closing stages and swarmed forward in search of the opening goal.

And just before the referee’s half-time whistle, striker Luis Muriel thought he’d given his team a precious lead – only for de Gea to somehow keep the net from bulging:

Regardless of how often he manages to come up with world class stops like this, it doesn’t get any less impressive.

Surely he’s now the undisputed best goalkeeper in the world, eh?
