Tavernier has had a lot of media coverage this week, with the ex-Wigan star admitting he wants to win silverware at Ibrox, a goal which he now thinks is achievable due to the club’s squad depth and fanbase.
Murty admitted that players with Tavernier’s desire to win trophies will only improve Rangers going forward, however, he also moved to praise the 26-year-old’s current form.
Tavernier has scored six goals this term and has formed a solid partnership with Daniel Candeias on Rangers’ right flank… and it seems Murty is suitably impressed:
Tavernier has made tremendous progress this season on both sides of the ball, especially considering his struggles last season under Mark Warburton and Pedro Caixinha.
He will no doubt be looking to add to his goal tally this weekend, as Rangers travel to New Douglas Park to play Hamilton on Sunday afternoon.
