Sky Sports pundit Jamie Carragher has lambasted Arsene Wenger and his Arsenal squad on tonight’s edition of Monday Night Football, labelling the sorry Gunners as ’embarrassing’.
The former Liverpool defender was joined by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry for this evening’s Premier League clash between Chelsea and West Brom at Stamford Bridge, and started by talking about Saturday’s North London derby.
Spurs’ 1-0 win over their rivals meant Arsenal now have just 26 points from their previous 26 away matches in the top-flight – a stat which seemed to enrage Carragher.
Moreover, Arsene Wenger’s apparent reluctance to spend big on an elite defender also drew criticism from Carragher, and whilst Henry tried his best to step in and defend his old boss, he didn’t do a particularly good job:

To be fair to Carragher, with Arsenal’s budget, you’d think being able to buy a player like Jonny Evans would be pretty comfortable, no?
