The Hoops took on their Russian counterparts in the first-leg of the tie under the floodlights at Celtic Park, and were on top from the start of a nervy match-up in the East End of Glasgow.
But despite their dominance, Brendan Rodgers’ men couldn’t seem to find a way through the Zenit defence – until the 79th minute, when substitute Musonda provided the slice of flair and trickery required to create an out-and-out opportunity.
His composed pass found McGregor at the back post, and the Scottish midfielder kept his cool and fired it into the far corner to give him the goal his performance thoroughly deserved:

Not too bad at all, eh?
It’s an excellent finish from McGregor, but what about that assist? Should that convince Rodgers to start Musonda in the second-leg?
