Rangers fans will be buzzing to see both Bruno Alves and Lee Wallace approaching full-fitness on the club’s Instagram.
The Light Blues have been without Wallace since he pulled up with a groin injury in September, with Declan John being signed on a permanent basis and flourishing in the 30-year-old’s absence.
Meanwhile, Alves has been out of action since tearing his calf muscle during the 0-0 draw at Celtic Park in December, an injury which has allowed David Bates to enjoy an extended spell in the team.
However, with the Ibrox club set to host Celtic in another hotly-anticipated Old Firm derby in just under a month, it appears Graeme Murty could have both Alves and Wallace available.
Rangers gave an update on their squad’s fitness during a video posted to their official Instagram account today, featuring several impressive saves from Wes Foderingham and a classy goal from Andy Halliday.
And both Alves and Wallace are in action too:
Murty will have a decision on his hands when Alves and Wallace return, as to whether he sticks with the younger Bates and John or shifts toward two more experienced players.
Rangers are next in action on Sunday, as they travel to Somerset Park to play Ayr United in the fifth round of the Scottish Cup.
