Roberto Mancini has warned his Zenit side of the “incredible” atmosphere inside Celtic Park, with the Italian insisting the Scottish champions’ supporters can inspire the Hoops on the European stage.
The ex-Manchester City boss was speaking to Sky Sports News ahead of tonight’s Europa League showdown, with Zenit yet to lose a game in this year’s competition.
Celtic, meanwhile, have parachuted into the competition after finishing third in their Champions League group.
Zenit haven’t played a competitive fixture in two months due to the Russian Premier League’s extended winter break, which started on December 11.
But Mancini is hoping his team aren’t caught out by a Celtic squad which can so easily get inspiration from a capacity crowd at Parkhead.
He said, “Celtic at home are a strong team and also for the supporters that push the team forward. The crowd is incredible”:

Celtic will be hoping to pick up a positive result this evening ahead of the return leg in St. Petersburg a week today.
