Aberdeen Fans Are Really Frustrated With Derek McInnes After Draw at Thistle

Aberdeen fans are really frustrated with Derek McInnes after their 0-0 draw with Partick Thistle.

Heading to Firhill after failing to win any of their previous three games, the Dons would have been expecting to get back to winning ways against a Thistle team who are in relegation danger.

But that didn’t happen, with McInnes’ men turning in a toothless performance in a goalless draw.

The Scottish manager’s team selection raised eyebrows before kick-off, with five defensive players named in the starting XI in a game you’d expect them to dominate the ball.

There was frustration before the game – and that remains after it as a result of dropping two points and offering Celtic or Rangers to extend their lead in the table over them tomorrow.

Here are just some of the reactions from Aberdeen supporters:

Of course, there are fans backing McInnes, but the frustration has to worry Aberdeen going forward.

They’re now losing ground on Celtic and Rangers and closer to a fight for third place with Hibs and that won’t satisfy fans who have been so used to second place finishes over recent seasons.
