Antonio Conte last night dismissed a reporter’s question about his Chelsea future as ‘naughty’.
The English Premier League champions bowed out of the Champions League at the hands of Barcelona last night, losing 3-0 on the night for a 4-1 aggregate defeat.
Lionel Messi was the biggest difference in the tie, scoring three goals and assisting another as the La Liga outfit advanced to the quarter finals.
And it leaves just the FA Cup as a realistic target for Chelsea to get silverware.
They sit fifth in the Premier League table, four points behind Liverpool in fourth and there’s no guarantee they’ll be able to get into those top four places to secure Champions League football next season.
If they don’t, that’ll just add to the speculation about Conte’s future and potential exit from Stamford Bridge in the summer.
When asked about it last night by a Sky Italia reporter, the Italian wasn’t willing to discuss:
Q: Which team will you be managing next time you speak to the Italian media? – Conte: "That’s a very naughty question and I prefer not to answer!“ [Sky Italia]

That response suggests there could be something to it for Conte – and it may give supporters the realisation that the Italian’s time at the club is close to an end.
He’s coming to the end of his second full season at Stamford Bridge, but that seems par for the course when it comes to Chelsea and they may look elsewhere in the summer.
