Callum McGregor Calls Ibrox a “Good Place” for Him as He’s Never Lost There

Ahead of Sunday’s Old Firm derby, Celtic midfielder Callum McGregor is relishing the opportunity to step out at Ibrox, admitting it’s a “good place” for him on the back of recent successes.

Rangers will feel confident of causing an upset when they do battle with the champions on Sunday afternoon, with Graeme Murty having rejuvenated their season after a hellish start under Pedro Caixinha.

However, while McGregor admits the Rangers players may “fancy it”, he was keen to remind everyone that he has “good memories” of playing at Ibrox.

McGregor scored two goals against the Light Blues last season, his first coming in the Hoops’ 2-0 victory in the Scottish Cup semi-final and the second in the 5-1 battering six days later at Ibrox.

Brendan Rodgers will surely be happy to see one of his younger talents so confident heading into a huge match:

Celtic go into Sunday’s game on the back of a resounding 3-0 win over Morton in the Scottish Cup, a result which saw the club score their 20th goal of 2018.

McGregor will be hoping he can add to that tally at the weekend and extend the club’s lead over Rangers in the table in the process.
