Celtic Fans Rally Around Scott Sinclair After Reports of ‘Attack’ at Glasgow Airport

Celtic fans are rallying around Scott Sinclair today after the winger was reportedly attacked and abused whilst waiting for a flight in Glasgow Airport.

The 28-year-old was on the bench for yesterday’s Old Firm match at Ibrox, in which Celtic defeated bitter rivals Rangers 3-2 in a dramatic encounter.

But the real drama for Sinclair didn’t take place until several hours after.

The Daily Record reported that Sinclair had been ‘attacked’, whilst STV claim two drunk passengers hurled abuse at Sinclair inside British Airways departure lounge, before being escorted out by police.

The last couple of months have probably been the toughest of Sinclair’s time in Glasgow so far, after he saw his guaranteed place in the Hoops starting line-up evaporate.

But regardless of his status within Brendan Rodgers’ squad, the club’s supporters are keen to let him know he’s got a lot of backing today:

What do you think of the incident?
