Celtic Are Keen to Face Liverpool to Mark Scott Brown’s Testimonial

Celtic could face Liverpool this summer in a match to mark Scott Brown‘s testimonial season with the Scottish Premiership champions.

Brown is in his tenth season as a Hoops player after completing his move from Hibs for £4.4 million back in the summer of 2007, and the club have already begun marking his contribution by hosting a testimonial dinner.

But a real testimonial wouldn’t be complete without a glamour friendly, and according to the Scotsman, Celtic have sounded out Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool over the possibility of arranging a fixture for this summer.

Not only would the match mark Brown’s time in Glasgow, but it would also be the first time Brendan Rodgers has faced his former employers since being sacked and replaced by Klopp in 2015.

Both teams are said to have held talks over potential dates, with a weekend in either July or August being mentioned.

What do you think of the proposed match?
