Egyptian Phone Company Offering Free Minutes Every Time Mo Salah Scores

A phone company in Egypt is offering customers free airtime every time Liverpool‘s in-form forward Mo Salah finds the net.

The striker has set the Premier League alight since arriving from Roma in a £35 million deal last summer, and his incredible four-goal spree against Watford last weekend took his tally for the season to 36 in all competitions, something nobody expected when he arrived in England.

He has 28 goals in the league alone, and with Jurgen Klopp’s men still alive and kicking in the Champions League too, you’d be willing to bet on Salah finding the net a fair few times before the campaign is over.

And if he does, there will be a lot of very happy Vodafone customers in his native land.

Vodafone Egypt have announced they’ll give their patrons 11 minutes of free airtime every time Salah scores between now and the end of the season.

It may not sound like a lot, but that could easily be a couple of hours for free, if the 25-year-old keeps up his remarkable scoring rate.

After playing a crucial role in helping Egypt reach their first World Cup since 1990, you’d have thought it was impossible for Salah to become more popular in his homeland, but Vodafone have somehow made it possible.
