England Fans Sing ‘Cheer Up Gordon Strachan’ Despite Him Being Sacked Last Year

England fans were singing ‘cheer up Gordon Strachan’ during their friendly with Holland despite him losing his job as Scotland manager last year.

The Three Lions and their supporters are out in Amsterdam for the first of two World Cup warm-up games over the next few days.

Some of those fans have been the subject of controversy today after being seen misbehaving on the streets of the city, including a ridiculous decision from some to throw drink on a boat full of people.

And now plenty more have embarrassed the country further by chanting about Strachan, despite the fact he’s not Scotland boss anymore.

According to BBC Sport’s Phil McNulty:

That did make us laugh – a lot.

Then again, Scotland are currently losing 1-0 to Costa Rica at home in a friendly that not many of the country really cared about anyway.

For England, their fans are probably better to just focus on themselves than anyone else.
