Everybody’s Singing Casemiro’s Praises After Real Madrid See Off PSG

Real Madrid advanced to the quarter-finals of the Champions League this evening after comfortably seeing off PSG – but it wasn’t Ronaldo, Bale or Benzema who took home all the plaudits.

Brazilian midfielder Casemiro is the man who is being hailed as the man of the match, and the key component in Zinedine Zidane’s side’s 2-1 win away in Paris.

With Toni Kroos and Luka Modric deemed not quite fit enough to start, along with Gareth Bale, extra responsibility was placed on Casemiro to contain PSG’s talented midfield, and he managed to do it without really breaking sweat.

Not only did the 26-year-old mop up just about everything that faced him tonight, but he also managed to get on the score-sheet, nabbing the winning goal with ten minutes remaining to put the cherry on top of his masterful performance.

His imposing display hasn’t gone unnoticed by onlookers watching at home:
