Jack Wilshere Offers a Grovelling Apology to Arsenal Supporters

Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has offered a grovelling apology to the club’s supporters in the wake of yesterday’s humbling defeat at the hands of Brighton and Hove Albion.

The Gunners were beaten 2-1 on the South Coast by Chris Houghton’s newly-promoted side in a result which capped off one of the worst weeks the North London side have endured in recent times.

As one of Arsenal’s most senior and longest-serving players, Wilshere felt the need to address yesterday’s result on his social media account, and accepted that the club’s suffering fans deserved much better from their well-paid stars:

Wilshere and his colleagues travel to Italy to face AC Milan in the Europa League last-32 on Thursday night, in a match which could make of break their entire season – and decide the fate of weary boss Arsene Wenger.

But what do you make of Wilshere’s words? Do he and his team-mates deserve forgiveness?
