Former Crystal Palace and Ajax boss de Boer was a guest on BT Sport’s Premier League Tonight show on Saturday and claimed that perhaps it was ‘a pity’ the Portuguese coach was in charge of the young Englishman.
Well, those comments have made their way back to Mourinho, who was having absolutely none of it during his press conference this afternoon.
Obviously emboldened by his side’s 2-1 win over Liverpool at the weekend, Mourinho had de Boer in his sights and didn’t mince his words on the Dutchman:
Mourinho: "I read some quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League, Frank de Boer, where he was saying that it's not good for Marcus Rashford to have a coach like me. If he was coached by Frank, he would learn how to lose because he lost every game." #mulive

At Old Trafford. Mourinho hammering Frank de Boer for his criticisms of Rashford under him. Says he's the "worst manager in history of the Premier League" and "if he (Rashford) was coached by Frank, he'd learn how to lose."

José Mourinho: “I read a quote from the worst manager in the history of the Premier League, Frank De Boer – 7 matches, 7 losses, 0 goals – that Marcus would not learn under me. Maybe with him, he would learn how to lose.”
On the offensive! 🔥

It might seem like a pretty harsh comment from Mourinho, but if you’re being totally honest, de Boer probably is -statistically at least – one of the worst managers in the recent history of the Premier League, right?
What do you think of his comments?
