Jurgen Klopp Admits Liverpool Getting Man City is a “Dream Draw”… for Man United Fans

Jurgen Klopp has described Liverpool getting Manchester City in the Champions League quarter-finals as a dream draw… but only if you support Manchester United.

The two Premier League heavyweights will face-off in Europe’s premier competition at the beginning of April, with 21 points currently separating Pep Guardiola’s league-leaders from the Reds.

And while the prospect of Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino facing Sergio Aguero, Leroy Sane and David Silva is a mouth-watering one, Klopp believes it’s only a dream draw for Man United fans.

The Liverpool boss was speaking in his press conference shortly after the ceremony in Zurich, an opportunity he also used to mention the seemingly unhappy reaction of City director Txiki Begiristain.

Daily Mail football reporter Dominic King shared Klopp’s comments via his Twitter account:

Klopp’s tongue was clearly firmly in his cheek with this comment, as United’s biggest rivals ready themselves for what should be a pulsating contest between two teams who would rather avoid each other at this stage.

Jose Mourinho’s side were of course knocked out of the competition by Sevilla in the round-of-16.
