Mo Salah Quickly Fires a Sly Dig at Manchester United’s Champions League Exit

Manchester United were dumped out of the Champions League against Sevilla tonight – and Liverpool striker Mo Salah wasted no time in sticking the boot into the Red Devils.

United were hot favourites to progress to the quarter-finals tonight, after securing a 0-0 draw away against the La Liga side two weeks ago, but a Wissam Ben Yedder double secured the Spaniards a 2-1 win at Old Trafford, and sent Jose Mourinho’s men spiralling out.

As we’ve told you earlier this evening, both Paul Pogba and Alexis Sanchez have been taking a lot stick from supporters on social media for their disappointing performances but perhaps the most hurtful tweet came from Salah:

Incidentally, the draw for the quarter-finals takes place on Friday morning, and Liverpool could be drawn against the likes of Real Madrid, Juventus and Roma – whilst United will be watching it all on the TV.

Perhaps Salah’s tweet was totally innocent, and just poorly timed – but what do you think?
