The Gers managed to comfortably dispatch of Falkirk at Ibrox this afternoon, after a classy hat-trick by Jason Cummings ensured a routine 4-1 victory, and secured a place in the competition’s semi-final.
Celtic were already through to the last-four after winning 3-0 against Greenock Morton yesterday and the two bitter Glasgow rivals were inevitably paired together when the balls were pulled from the hat earlier this evening.
And as reporters and bystanders inside the Ibrox tunnel can confirm, Graeme Murty’s men were absolutely buzzing to find out they’d been handed a showdown with Brendan Rodgers’ Hoops side:
that cheer you hears during the draw was in the Rangers dressing room when they announced Celtic. no fear, no danger.

The tie will be played at Hampden on either the 14/15th of April, with Aberdeen or Kilmarnock meeting Motherwell in the other semi-final.
Are Rangers players right to be so confident, or will it come back to bite them?
