Rangers Fans in Disbelief as Jordan Rossiter is Included in the Squad to Play Motherwell

Jordan Rossiter has been plagued with injury since signing for Rangers in 2016, but the midfielder is set to make his latest comeback this weekend against Motherwell… and fans can’t quite believe it.

The ex-Liverpool starlet was signed by former boss Mark Warburton, and he arrived at Ibrox to great fanfare, particularly because he had been compared to Reds legend Steven Gerrard.

Unfortunately for Rossiter though, he’s never been able to find his feet in Glasgow due to a persistent calf problem.

He was set for a highly-anticipated return to first-team action in February, but rolled his ankle while playing for the club’s U-20s in Spain.

However, Graeme Murty gave the 21-year-old a clean bill of health during this afternoon’s press conference, confirming he will be in the squad to face Motherwell in tomorrow’s early kick-off:

It’s worth mentioning that Rangers fans have been here before with Rossiter, only to see his body breakdown when he returns to the pitch, so Murty may use him sparingly toward the end of the campaign.

If he does make a full return against the Steelmen, it should be interesting to see what sort of reaction he gets from the Rangers fans, especially after he re-Tweeted a Celtic banner recently.
