Robbie Savage Wishes Chris Sutton a Happy Birthday.. Can’t Help Mentioning Rangers

Robbie Savage has wished Chris Sutton a happy birthday – and couldn’t help mentioning Rangers in his message.

The former Celtic striker is celebrating his 45th birthday today, but won’t spend it alongside family as he gets involved in BT Sport’s coverage of Chelsea against Crystal Palace at Stamford Bridge later.

He’s also not taking a break from Twitter to celebrate it, as he couldn’t resist a response to fellow BT pundit Savage earlier after receiving a funny birthday wish from the Welshman.

Savage wrote:

As you can see from the interaction on the tweet, Rangers fans are enjoying Savage’s message.

But Sutton couldn’t let it sit – and instead hit back at Savage with a dig about Rangers apparently knocking him back at the end of his playing career:

Even on his birthday, Sutton and Savage can’t resist having sly digs at each other.

No doubt it will continue tomorrow when Rangers go up against rivals Celtic at Ibrox hoping to end their bad run of form in the fixture.

If they do, we reckon Savage will have something to say about it.
