The back-up goalkeeper had yet to play a single minute of competitive action for the Hoops before today’s game, but was thrown in from the start by Brendan Rodgers in one of the biggest matches of the season following an ankle injury to Dorus de Vries.
The 26-year-old loanee from Dundee coped admirably with the white-hot atmosphere of the partizan Rangers crowd and pulled off several solid saves in the second-half to help ensure his side ran out 3-2 winners.
Following the final whistle, Bain was obviously still on Cloud Nine – and soaking up every moment of the massive victory:
Unbelievable!! enjoyed every minute of it! Bhoys were terrific 🙌🏼 Never seen fan support like it 👏🏼 So this is how it feels… 😏😏 https://t.co/9q9zApeXq0

What did you think of Bain’s performance today? And does he now merit a place in Brendan Rodgers’ starting XI until Craig Gordon is fit again?
