There’s A Lot of England Fans Pretty Upset with Scott McTominay Today

Scott McTominay has officially decided to play for Scotland ahead of England – much to the severe annoyance of English fans all around the country.

The 21-year-old Manchester United midfielder has been a breath of fresh air since breaking into Jose Mourinho’s starting XI this season and doesn’t look out of place amongst the Premier League’s gaggle of superstars.

McTominay was actually born in Lancaster but is eligible to play for Scotland because of Scottish grandparents, and according to the Times, the youngster agreed to turn out for the Scots after meeting manager Alex McLeish last week.

They might have a whole host of brilliant players to pick from, but there’s some England supporters who are extremely upset with the decision, with some accusing him of lacking ambition and questioning his desire:

As we told you earlier today, Joey Barton is amongst McTominay’s detractors but what do you make of the criticism?

And has he made the right choice by opting for Scotland?
